5-Minute Clarity Exercise for Overwhelmed Entrepreneurs

Feeling overwhelmed or stuck in analysis paralysis? Finding clarity doesn't always need hours of deep thinking. A few minutes can give you the reset you need to meaningful action. Here's a 5-minute exercise:

Step 1: Take a Step Back

When we're overwhelmed, our mind is going a mile a minute and it's hard to think clearly. Start by pausing and reminding yourself that you don't have to do everything all at once.

Step 2: Do a Data Dump

Grab your best note-taking thingy and write out everything that's going on in your mind. There's no need to organize it. The goal is about clearing your mental clutter. Write out everything that's competing for your attention.

Step 3: Decide on 3 Priorities

Now that everything's written out, ask and answer three questions:

  1. What tasks align with my most important goals?

  2. What has the biggest impact if I completed it today?

  3. What's time-sensitive and can't wait?

Make a note of those three tasks. These are your non-negotiables.

Step 4: Chose Your First Action

From your three priorities, choose your highest one and start to tackle that first. If it feels too big, break it down into smaller, more manageable steps.

The goal here isn't perfection—it's progress.

Bonus: Find time to do this for a few minutes each morning. It'll help you prioritize your day and keep the momentum going.

If you've tried this exercise and feel like sharing, I'd love to hear your experience!

What's one priority you've identified today that you're excited to overcome?
