The Alignment Advantage: Reconnecting Your Business Goals to Success
Holding on too tight to goals that aren't aligned with your goal will slow your progress and drain your energy. If you're able to step back regularly, question your direction and make adjustments according to the vision you're holding...you'll find yourself working smarter, not harder.
To realign your business with your goals:
Revisit your vision and values: Have they changed? Have you drifted away from your core values and vision? What is your business' purpose? Ask if your current goals are in alignment with this.
Define what you don't want: Eliminate misaligned goals and distractions.
Do a goal audit: Review all of your current goals and evaluate their relevance and progress. Which ones do you want to keep, change or let go? Ask if it's worth your time and energy. For the ones you keep, what steps will move the goal forward?
Do a daily cleanse: At the start of each day, prioritize actions that directly contribute to your long-term goals.
