Are You a Visionary Masked as a Planner?

Visionaries often get caught up in the exciting part of the process...

dreaming, brainstorming, and creating beautifully detailed plans.

It feels productive and easy to mistake planning for progress.

I know...I do it all the time, lol.

But, planning without execution is just procrastination.

Imagine someone meticulously designing their next vacation.

They map out the perfect place, location, hotel, best restaurants, transportation, excursions and even their playlist...

But they never buy the plane tickets.

It looks impressive, but the destination is out of reach.

That's the difference of planners and doers.

As a visionary, you're capable of being both, or at the very least - delegating the right tasks.

Here are a few simple ways to bridge the gap between planning and execution:

  • Set deadlines for action, not just plans: break your plan into tasks and assign deadlines for each step.

  • Limit the planning phase: Once 80% of your plan is clear, move forward and adjust the remaining 20% as you go.

  • Focus on micro-actions: Start with one action that aligns with your plan and build momentum from there.

The goal is to dream big, plan smart and execute relentlessly.

Are you a visionary business owner masking as a planner? What's one step you can take today to move you closer to your vision?
