How to Identify and Conquer Decision Fatigue in Your Business

It didn't feel like exhaustion.

It felt like...

...chaos management always...

...second-guessing everything...

...an inability to think clearly...

...stress at having to make every.single.decision.like.ever.

Decision fatigue isn't just about being tired or having too many choices to makes.

It can also be about a broken support system or having no system at all.

When you're used to making most of the decisions or is the person everyone leans on for an answer it can be overwhelming.

It shows up in sneaky ways:

  • Overthinking the small stuff

  • Procrastinating on big decisions

  • Making quick, reactive choices

  • Feeling overwhelmed by options

If this is how you're feeling, here's a few ways you can change things around:

  • Automate repetitive choices: save your mental energy for higher-level decisions.

  • Prioritize big decisions early: this way, you'd have completed a forward-movement task and can still feel accomplished.

  • Simplify your options: limit the choices you give yourself.

  • Use a framework or system to make decisions: a simple checklist can go a long way.

  • Give yourself permission to delegate: not everything needs to be done by you.

What's something that's draining your energy right now? How could you simplify, automate or delegate it to reclaim your focus?
